Joshua Benton

Joshua Benton (Santa Claus: Reality TV North Pole) – A California native, Joshua attended UC Riverside as a Theater Major where he performed in Sam Sheppard’s “Fool for Love” and Eric Bogosian’s “Talk Radio.” Arriving in Los Angeles, he studied at the Actor’s Circle Theater for five years under Arthur Mendoza. He has appeared in David Rabe’s “Goose & Tom-Tom”, Tennessee William’s “Baby Doll” at the Elephant Theater, and understudied as Islington in the Sacred Fools run of “Neverwhere” and as Gare Cartwright in “Occupation.” Joshua’s film credits include “The Red Machine”, Kevin Tenney’s “Brain Dead” and the upcoming “No Solicitors” and “The Woodsman.” Joshua is also a regular set builder around town.

Emily Button (Mrs. Claus: Reality TV North Pole) – Emily is the daughter of two professional athletes, which does not at all explain why she became an actress. An award winning actress, improviser, voiceover artist and producer. Emily has performed in over fifty plays and films, recurred on NBC’s Days of Our Lives and had the privilege of working with many gifted artists including the great Paul Sills, Mike Nichols and George Morrison. Recently nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” for her work in Peter’s Ashes with Dee Wallace Stone, you can also see her in the soon to be released Other People’s Children with Chad Michael Murray. Shawn Davis (Monty: Christmas Caroline) – S. Davis is enthralled to be debuting onstage with the STUDIO C ARTISTS production of HOLIDAY SHOW. His recent credits include LONELY AT THE TOP at ZOMBIE JOE’S THEATRE GROUP, HAUNTED at THE UNDERGROUND THEATRE, JUDGE KAREN and STRANGE FRUIT & FAT PIG at the ACTORS WORKOUT STUDIO.  Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, he has trained at the Actors Workout Studio – in North Hollywood – to sharpen his dramatic skills under the demanding and powerful tutelage of Fran Montano and Irene Muzzy. He is rounding out his training by currently taking improvisation courses at Second City LA.  He’s a playwright, poet, screenwriter (hoping to sell a pilot…or four) and international backpacker. Sumi Folz (Caroline: Death By Poinsettia) – Sumi Folz is excited to be performing in Studio C’s trio of holiday plays as it combines her two favorite things: performing and the holidays! And champagne. Having trained at hallowed improv institutions in Chicago, she moved to LA to pursue her dream of becoming really famous, but will settle for a Subaru with low monthly payments. You can find her every Friday night as cohost of The Clubhouse Ccabaret!, her new favorite show she’s working on. She would also like to thank Edgar, Judith and Andres for making Death By Poinsettia so fun to work on.

Scott Gerard

Scott Gerard (Chad: Christmas Caroline) – Scott is excited to be involved with another play at Studio C. He has not only performed, but also has written for two of their one act series. Michael Sonntag had to do some arm twisting, but ultimately Scott just couldn’t turn down the role of Chad.  He would like to thank his director Bailey Burcham, all who have attended and continue to support theater in Los Angeles, and of course the nurturing environment at Studio C.

Megan Gill (Sara: Christmas Caroline) – Megan is stoked to make her Los Angeles debut performing with Studio C’s Christmas Caroline. Since graduating Wichita State University in 2014, she has been performing with various companies across the country- and more recently in Chicago, IL. Michelle Luchese

Michelle Luchese (Caroline: Christmas Caroline) – Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Shortly after graduation, Michelle booked a lead in her first feature, 212, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.  She then relocated to Los Angeles and continues to shoot “hot mess” characters all over town, like in the acclaimed HBO series, True Blood, as well as many shorts, and most recently in the feature Buddy Solitaire.  When not on camera, you can find her baking up something healthy, paddleboarding, or singing and playing smartass original tunes on the guitar or ukulele around LA.  More here: www.MichelleLuchese.com.

Michael Matts (Rudolph: Reality TV North Pole) – Michael (Shorty) Matts is always searching for the thrill and challenge of creating new characters and is excited to originate the role of Rudolph in Reality TV: North Pole. He has experience in all media on both coasts and some favorite roles include Peter Lange in the disturbing and political 2015 world premiere of Bang Bang by Michael Kearns and directed by Mark Bringelson, the snap drag queen Ms. Roj in The Colored Museum, the naked masseur Eddie in Head Games and Arthur the heroin-addicted intellectual in the world premiere of A Good Year for the Roses as well as various co-starring roles network television.

Sarah McElligott (Jackie: Christmas Caroline) – Sarah McElligott is thrilled to be on stage again at Studio C! A graduate of the Second City Conservatory, she is currently staring in the web series My Perfect Parents which she created with her husband Henry Dittman. Some of her past stage highlights include; All My Sons (Geffen Playhouse), Why Things Burn (the Mint), and her sketch comedy group One Hott Mess. Film & TV credits include; The Onion Movie (FOX Searchlight), Rizzoli & Isles (TNT), Dollhouse (Joss Whedon, FOX)Hot Properties (ABC)Monk (USA), & The Underground (Damon Wayons sketch comedy pilot). TJ O'Brien
TJ O’Brien

TJ O’Brien (Rudolph Understudy: Reality TV North Pole – 12/4-12/5 performances) – TJ O’Brien started out as an actor in Chicago and NYC, detoured into agency/management and casting for several years, and now has come full circle! He most recently wrote and appeared in the Serial Killers entries ALEX IN AGENCYLAND and CHRISTMASTOWN 00000 at Sacred Fools. Favorite past roles include Bob in BEYOND THERAPY, Drew in EASTERN STANDARD, the Son in SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR, and Neely O’Hara in VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. He is thrilled to be directed by Sabrina again and to make his Studio C debut! TJ is extremely grateful for all the support everyone has given him as he transitions back into acting…and for Merlin and MoMo, the two best feline “sons” ever!

Scot Shamblin (Danny: Reality TV North Pole) – Scot Shamblin is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and of the Sacred Fools Theatre Company. He is a graduate of the Sanford Meisner Studio with Alex Taylor. Scot is very happy indeed to be working with Sabrina Lloyd again and all of his cast mates here at Studio C. He appreciates your patronage and hopes you have the safest and warmest of holidays.

Andres Solorzano (Duane: Death By Poinsettia) – Andres Rey Solorzano hails from Miami, FL by way of Boston, MA. Since moving to LA I have both toured with Casa 0101’s “Brown & Out” to Dublin, Ireland and New York while also having been helpful in selling you cars and quick stop sodas on TV (in Spanish of course). When not acting I spend most of my time running free art projects with kids and performing as my musical personae “Social Bandit.” Also my favorite Holiday is actually 4th of July. Kaboom.

Myshell Tabu
Myshell Tabu

Myshell Tabu (Theresa: Christmas Caroline) – Myshell Tabu studied film at Chapman University and minored in Theater Performance at CSU Dominguez Hills. She recently completed production on the film Dependent’s Day, directed by Michael David Lynch.  Myshell can also be seen in the films Something New (Sanaa Hamrii), Showstoppers (Barry Knowles), and the web series, Dating Savannah Love. Her commercial credits include Walmart, K-Swiss, and Toyota.  This is Myshell’s first performance at Studio C.
